Meidrim Barns, Carmarthenshire

Two listed barns adjoining a listed farmhouse and facing each other over a courtyard are being converted to residential. The courtyard provides access and parking, while the “quiet side” overlooks private fields with new outdoor seating decks. The former cow mangers in barn no. 2 form the bulk of the living, eating and relaxing accommodation.

The old corrugated steel machinery shed and store at the east end will be rebuilt in corrugated steel on a timber-framed stucture. Planning permission and listed building consent for barn no.1 was granted in 2013.
